Privacy Policy for the Modexa Discord Application
Version dated October 10, 2026
1. Controller and scope
This Privacy Policy explains how data is processed when using the Modexa application on Discord (the “Application”). Controller: Artem Medvedev. Privacy and data-deletion contact: misteart.medvedev@outlook.com.
Discord is a separate platform and processes users’ data under its own privacy policy. This document covers data received or processed by the Application’s operator, not all data processed by Discord.
2. Data we process
Depending on the enabled commands and Discord permissions, the Application may process the minimum data needed to provide its features:
- Discord user and server IDs and, where a feature requires it, channel IDs;
- username, display name, avatar, or role information when requested for a relevant command or feature;
- identifiers and linked records used to connect a Discord account with an account on another supported platform;
- user or community settings, interface language, and data needed to execute commands;
- message content only when needed to execute a command or when an enabled message-bridge feature forwards messages;
- technical logs, error reports, and operation timestamps used for troubleshooting and security.
The Application does not request Discord passwords, users’ login tokens, payment details, or special categories of sensitive personal data. This Policy will be updated if the actual implementation changes.
3. Purposes of processing
- providing commands and features available to users or server administrators;
- matching identities and synchronizing roles when the relevant feature is enabled and authorized;
- operating cross-platform message bridging only when configured and enabled;
- storing settings and state required for the Application’s features;
- maintaining security, preventing abuse, and diagnosing errors;
- responding to user requests and complying with legal obligations.
4. Legal basis and data minimization
Data is used only to the extent necessary for the stated functionality and in accordance with applicable law, the Discord Developer Terms of Service, and the Discord Developer Policy. The Application does not use Discord API Data for profiling, sale, advertising, or other incompatible purposes.
5. Storage and retention
Technical logs are retained for up to 7 days. Backups are retained for up to 20 days. Long-term copies and databases are retained for up to 40 days. At the end of the applicable period, data is deleted or overwritten through the configured procedures, unless longer retention is required by applicable law or to investigate an incident.
Identifiers, settings, and account-linking records are retained for as long as needed to provide the relevant features and are then deleted or anonymized unless further retention is legally required.
6. Data sharing and infrastructure
Data may be transmitted to Discord as required for API operation. It may also be processed by infrastructure providers supporting hosting or technical operation if such providers are used. Any sharing is limited to what is necessary and must have an applicable legal basis. The operator does not sell personal data or provide Discord API Data to advertising networks or data brokers.
The primary server is located in Russia and is under the operator’s control. No other infrastructure providers have been identified by the operator. Data may be transmitted to Discord to the extent required for the API and the Application’s features. The operator takes applicable legal requirements concerning data localization and cross-border transfers into account.
7. Access and deletion requests
Users may request information about processing, correction, or deletion by emailing misteart.medvedev@outlook.com with the subject “Modexa Discord — Data Request”. Include your Discord user ID and describe your request. Do not send passwords or tokens. The operator may request reasonable confirmation of account ownership while avoiding unnecessary data collection and will respond within the time limits required by applicable law.
Deleting data required to link accounts may disable account linking, synchronization, or personalized settings.
8. Security
The operator uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to restrict access, protect application secrets, manage permissions, and reduce the risk of data leaks. Absolute security of data transmission or storage cannot be guaranteed. Security measures must reflect the infrastructure actually in use.
9. Children and age requirements
The Application is not intended for people who are below the minimum age required to use Discord in their country. The Application must not knowingly collect children’s data in violation of applicable law.
10. Changes and contact
This Policy will be updated when the Application’s functionality or the data it processes changes. Controller: Artem Medvedev. Email: misteart.medvedev@outlook.com.
